MIKE MARTINEZ

Mike’s skills as a corporate strategist and management trouble-shooter
stem from the following career credentials: Founder/CEO, Strategic Management Services, Dallas; Director Strategic Planning, The Hay International Group, Dallas; President/CEO, Foote, Cone & Belding, San Juan; Founder/CEO, Marcom Communications, El Paso; Marketing Director, Ford Motor Company, Mexico City; Managing Director, Young & Rubicam Latin American Operations, Mexico City; Account Group Supervisor, McCann-Erickson, New York; Sales Manager, Sears Roebuck South America, Caracas.

With Sears, he assisted in opening retail operations and developing new manufacturing sources in South America. At Ford Mexico, he was instrumental in the conversion and reorganization of assembly operations into a sophisticated manufacturing and marketing organization. Management positions with three of the world's top-ten marketing, advertising and public relations agencies included the planning and execution of marketing and brand strategies for such Fortune 500 clients as Procter & Gamble, General Foods, Philip Morris, Chrysler, American Airlines, Texas Instruments, CitiCorp, Exxon, Coca-Cola, Quaker Oats, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Chase Manhattan, Kimberly-Clark, Mazda, Texaco, and Frito-Lay.

Mike majored in Mechanical Engineering at Oklahoma State and in Journalism and Psychology at the University of Texas at El Paso. He
served with the U.S. Air Force in Europe as an Aerial Engineer and later
with the Judge Advocate General (JAG) office in Germany. He is totally bicultural and bilingual in English and Spanish and has a working knowledge of German and French. An accomplished artist, published writer and creative director, during his years in the marketing communications field he produced many award-winning print advertising campaigns, television commercials and industrial films.
